Job Summary

The role of the Strategist at Human Branding is to provide strategic leadership across all aspects of qualitative market research projects, including project set up, discussion guide development, moderating, debrief writing, and client presentation, through to project close. The Strategist works to identify culturally fueled, profoundly rich and deep human behavioral insights to drive strategic solutions. At Human Branding, Strategists successful in their role excel by leveraging an Applied Anthropology Thinking philosophy, showing strategic ability, planning and project management, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. They must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial fast paced environment and able to verbalize their point of view, as well as like working on a team and in a team environment.

• Project Management: prioritize work to meet deadlines, ensure project tracker is updated, lead internal meetings, act as primary day to day contact with clients, manage recruiting requirements with the Senior Project Manager, manage the debrief writing process

• Can manage client expectations and build relations that instill confidence and trust

• Ability to develop client-ready discussion guides and leverage projective techniques appropriately

• Ability to moderate across most methods and respondent types, adapting in the moment, and procuring insights.

• Can visualize concepts and insights in an impactful way

• Able to deliver prepared presentations to clients and present ideas in a compelling way

• Successfully manage multiple projects, all in different design/analysis stages, at once with confidence

• Lead the development of strong and captivating proposals to meet client needs, based on short research briefs and/or elaborate RFPs; including assisting with costing structure, methodological design, analytical framework, etc.


Requirements

• University degree

• 5 - 10 years’ experience, Market Research an asset

• Project Management

• Strategic thinker with strong analytic and writing skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Meticulous and process driven

• Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work with minimal direction but get the job done

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word

• High attention to detail

• Manage multiple projects efficiently

• Ability to multi task effectively with strong time management skills

• Knowledge of research methodologies required

• Qualitative questionnaire research writing experience required

• Must work out of the Human Branding Head Office *during COVID-19 employees are currently working from home
